He was at Cross Road Assisted Living. They were very loving and tried to accommodate Dad and his wishes till the end. Hospice of Randolph County was also there to help the family. I don’t know what we would have done without them. Everyone thought it was the end. Then Dad had a “good” night. He insisted on getting out of bed. Against all of our wishes. He wanted to get in the wheel chair and go see his friends. We couldn’t even dress him, he was so frail, thus you see him dressed in a hospital gown, wrapped in blankets and wearing his special scarf, from our friend Dorothy that played Christmas tunes. His need to do this was too strong for us to say no. We stopped at each door. He said God Bless and blew them a kiss.
