My immediate family was a trio, with a cat. I knew my cousins from spending summers with them, but had never seen them in winter. I didn’t know that they knew how to skate. There were so many gifts under the tree; I had never seen that many. My grandmother and mother were pianists, so we all gathered ‘round and sang Christmas carols and drank egg nog.

“The challenge during the holidays are more of the foil and glittery wrapping paper, a lot of times that is made up of multi-levels of different wrapping paper,” he said. “The foil and glitter also have other things that are more than just the paper. Unfortunately, that type of paper is not good in the recycling industry. It contaminates your mixed paper.”

Cut a strip of tape to fit along the bottom of each tag. Washi tape is easy to reposition and reusable.
