He wanted to get in the wheel chair and go see his friends. We couldn’t even dress him, he was so frail, thus you see him dressed in a hospital gown, wrapped in blankets and wearing his special scarf, from our friend Dorothy that played Christmas tunes. His need to do this was too strong for us to say no. We stopped at each door. He said God Bless and blew them a kiss.

Generally, trailers mimic what’s to come, which makes sense: People paying for Aquaman probably want to see more superheroes, and people paying for The Favourite probably want to see more Oscar hopefuls. But ahead of Welcome to Marwen, there was a trailer for a Christian movie called Breakthrough, for Destroyer, for the Kevin Hart–Bryan Cranston feel-good comedy The Upside, for the Liam Neeson snowplow action movie, for the Rebel Wilson meta-rom-com, for the Downton Abbey movie, and for the new M. Night Shyamalan movie. This suggests that literally no one — not even studios — knows who this movie is for.
As we glumly turned to go to our beds, there was a commotion on the back porch. My brother screamed, “It’s out here! It’s out here!! He left it out here!!!!” We rushed to the back porch and there was the most beautiful Red Flyer wagon I ever laid eyes on. It was big. It had red “side-planks.” It even had dual back wheels.
