We each got a small stuffed animal, an apple, an orange and a peppermint stick. On Christmas Day my mother made a cake. It had egg white icing. She crushed a peppermint stick and sprinkled it on it. It was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen. It was a good Christmas.

Ramon Rivas Yes, Kevin Hart is in Phoenix in July, but it’s almost impossible to escape him these days between his movies, his commercials, and his front-row seats at major sporting events. If you’re looking for a different sort of comedy, Ramon Rivas, a laid-back Latino comic from Cleveland (“Make America Cleveland Again”), will be headlining at Stand Up Live, 50 West Jefferson Street, on Sunday, July 1.
